Hello and Welcome to the new homepage for Padgate Warrington East Chess Club, still the most up and coming chess club in the Warrington and District Chess League. Interested in Playing Chess? then why not pop down on a wednesday evening, whether your a social player just interested in a few friendly games over a beer or two, or you maybe a more serious player interested in representing the club in one of our teams in the Warrington and 400 League. We welcome all players from complete novice to budding Grandmaster. The only entry requirement is a sense of humor! We have a full range of members from 9 years old upwards, but sadly only one girl! We'd be delighted to see you down at the club whatever your playing ability, Padgate Warrington East Chess Club is the club for you!

The Club meets every Wednesday evening from around 7 o'clock at the Padgate community centre, located on Station Road in Padgate, Warrington. (its about 100 yards from Padgate railway station) There is ample car free car parking space avalible at the venue.
Directions if coming by car: From M62 J11. Take 1st exit, A574, Warrington. At the 5th roundabout turn left. Take the next left (sign Padgate train station), Club car Park is 50 yards on the right.
From M6 J21/A57. After motorway roundabouts continue on the A57 towards Warrington. At traffic lights (junction has car dealership on the left, post office on the right) turn right into Holes Lane.Continue for 1.5 miles. Road becomes Green Lane. At roundabout turn right. Take next right into Station Road. Club car park is 50 yards on the right. Click here for Map of route!
Interested in Joining? Then please come on down any wednesday evening, the club is open all year round for friendly games, the first month for any new player is absolutely free. Unfortunatly we do have to pay Rent for the venue we play at, so if you like us and want to join its:
£5 a month for adults £1 a month for Juniors! (under 18's)
